Whether it’s blueberries or lingonberries, the world of Grounded 2 is filled with different types of food for your little miniature character to harvest. For most of the materials, it’s to better equip them for the upcoming battles against some of nature’s most ferocious tiny creatures, while other times it’s to upgrade the means of actually harvesting. For Lingonberries, it’s the latter, as this important berry helps you smash more rocks and harder surfaces. Where it’s located isn’t made abundantly obvious, but there’s one key spot that yields you massive results.

Unlike Blueberries, which can be found in patches and on the rather large picnic table near the center of the map, Lingonberries are found in their natural source. They hang on trees and branches, meaning you will need to climb to get them.

One specific spot will be the forest that is located directly behind the Billy Hogs stand, which’s directly northwest of your initial base. To get there, you will need to go under the Billy Hogs stand in the Snackbar Front (on the west) and then climb up to the left when you come out of the small cave.

Once you do that, you’ll likely spot some rather nasty Orb Weavers and Orb Weaver Jr.s around the rotten fruit on the side. While you can’t avoid the nasty odor the fruit produces, you can quickly rush up the side of the stand to find even more spiders. But if you look up, you will notice you’ll be in a forest of Lingonberries.

From here until the furthest northwest point of the map, you can maneuver your way through the vast forestry, cutting down Lingonberries along the way. Some will have already fallen, which makes it much easier, but know that you will need at least a Level 2 Omni-Axe to chop into these tasty berries. After a couple of whacks, you’ll be able to pick up the parts and bring them back to base to be scanned.

What are Lingonberries Used For?

Lingonberries have a couple of uses, but their main attraction is crafting the Lingonberry Leather. You can also craft a Blazing’ Brew drink with this after scanning it, but the leather is what most people will come for. This is primarily because Lingonberry Leather is used to upgrade the Omni-Tool’s Omni-Hammer to level 2.

Leveling this hammer up allows you to crack open stronger and rarer materials spread throughout the world, allowing you to upgrade armor and structures even further.
